Business models |
Fixed budget
The fixed budget model is best suited for project with clearly specified requirements, in which the effort and timeframe can be accurately estimated at an early project stage. BITNET is usually involved starting with the late specification stage, in order to enable a clear understanding of the project requirements.
Billing is usually time-correlated with the project milestones. All the costs and deadlines are pre calculated and clearly stated in the development contract.
Time & material
The time&Material business model is developed for long-term projects or projects in which the total effort cannot be accurately estimated in advance and the scope of work can vary during the implementation. If compared with Fixed Budget offer, which is ideal for projects with a detailed technical specification, Time&Material is the best model for scalable projects.
Billing is based on monthly invoices based on detailed time sheets depicting the team effort during the billing period. Direct communication with the team members is enabled via telephone, email and IM services.
Dedicated team
The dedicated team model, differs from time&material in the degree of control the client has over the team. The dedicated team business model is suited for the cases in which the BITNET engineers represent an extension of the client's in house development team. Project management is usually handled by the contracting company, assisted by a BITNET team leader. In this model, BITNET is also available for hiring auxiliary personnel in the client's interest.
Billing is based on monthly invoices, based on a fixed per engineer cost. Direct communication with the team members is enabled via telephone, email and IM services. |
